GAZZARA plays GENESIS latest piano and orchestral tribute album "FOXTROT" comes in a lovely gatefold digifile CD card case, with artwork by Diego Damiani and original (plus Genesis related) paintings by Ugo Micheli. The new Gazzara plays Genesis tribute album "Foxtrot" is finally released as a Limited Edition CD (gatefold digifile format) on October 6th 2022, 50 years after the original Genesis masterpiece release. The first 100 copies of the album will be available only through the artist’s Bandcamp page. October 6th 1972 - although the exact date is still uncertain - legendary rock band Genesis released their masterpiece "Foxtrot". Fifty years later the heritage of this album on modern music is still enormous and Francesco Gazzara's instrumental piano/orchestral version is only a humble tribute to such beautiful music written by Tony Banks, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Steve Hackett and Mike Rutherford. Thank you Genesis!
From "Watcher Of The Skies" to "Supper's Ready" the original "Foxtrot" tracklist is reinterpreted with passion, accuracy and respect, underlining all the hidden nuances of Genesis music. This is the first Gazzara's tribute to a particular Genesis album, out exactly 50 years after the original release, the second being "Selling England By The Pound", scheduled for late 2023.

Francesco Gazzara is a film and TV composer since the late 90’s. He has composed soundtracks for well known Italian movie directors as Giuseppe Ferrara, Francesca Muci, Cristina Comencini and scored many RAI Cinema documentary TV productions. An amazing reinterpretations of old Genesis classics. Even "Invisible touch", in my opinion one of the worst songs by Genesis, in this album is a little gem. You can almost imagine Steve Hackett on classical guitar. mario1984

This is one of the best interpretations I've heard of Genesis music, Pete would have made an excellent replacement vocalist for the band itself, he has a lovely feel for the songs, and a perfect voice for the material Colman Jones
